Why do you need to write a short testimonial ?

Look, people don't give a monkey's toss about you or your offer. They see ads jumping out at them hundreds of times a day. They see banners and text ads everywhere. They don't want your stuff. Even if you tell them that it will change their lives, your ad will never be good enough to convice all of them.
If your ad says "Make $1000 per week working from home.", so what? Ten minutes ago the reader saw a similar ad saying "Make $10,000 per week working from home.".
Even if you say "Win $1,000,000 on the lottery - GUARANTEED" it won't pull much response because yesterday he saw a scam saying "Win $2,000,000 on the lottery - GUARANTEED".
The reality is that on Internet, people don't believe you.
Don't compare online with offline. I've done both and I can tell you that it is totally the opposite.
Like a lot of people, my mother really thinks that if it is on TV news, it must be true!!
Well, I've some severe doubts about that. But anyway it's a popular belief.
The opposite is true for Internet. If it's on Internet, it must be a scam.

I HATE getting spam. Most people do. Why alienate the product you want to promote? Why risk losing the very thing we're trying to gain? When I am spammed, I don't buy the product on principle - even if I would have liked it.

Here's a way to turn spam to your advantage
Next time you get spam mail, send a reply! Nine times out of ten the mail will bounce back to you, since most spammers use anonymous email addresses. However, one in ten is a genuine address with a genuine person at the other end.
Now consider the motivation of that person for sending you the mail. What are they trying to achieve? Just like us, they're trying to earn money! Hey, does that make a great potential customer for our product, or what?
And the good news is that THEY CONTACTED US FIRST !
Here's the sort of response I send back to all unsolicited mail (I have it in a text file, and just copy-paste it into the email):-

Thanks for your email about (enter a brief description of their product). I don't have time right at the moment to look at your proposal in detail, though I plan to do so as soon as I can give it the attention it deserves. Meanwhile, I'm fully occupied digging a rich vein of Internet wealth that I never realized was there.
Since you would appear to be a netrepreneur like myself, I'd be glad to introduce you to this amazing product. (You scratch my back, and I'll scratch yours.)

Let me tell you; the 10% of emails that DON'T bounce back are POWERFUL prospects. They WILL go to the site, and the chances are THEY WILL BUY THE PRODUCT. You know what that means?
It means that EVERY piece of junk mail you get is worth $2.26 to you!!
If 1:10 convert to a sale that earns you $22.60, you just need to keep responding to them. Hey, is this a hot tip, or what?
Here are some fundamental marketing rules.
- Talk benefits and you will get people's attention. People don't want to know about the features. They want to know the benefits - what's in it for them. For example, this particular eBook of mine has a feature... there are a few pictures inside!
Wow, you wanna pay $40 for that? No siree, but you might just pay $40 for the details of how I can help you pull a million visitors to your site! ... See what I mean? Features are only small interest. Talk benefits and you will get people's attention.
- Talk in emotional terms and you will get people's attention. People don't want a product, they want the emotions that the product can bring to them. So how do you sell something ?
- Tell your story and use emotion. Give your testimonial and use emotion. Make a promise and use emotion. Hell... get emotional and use emotion!
You see where I'm coming from? People want emotions, so express emotions and they will read you. If you are living an emotion they want, they'll copy you. You have bought a product that makes you feel better, they will buy that product to feel better too. They'll do what you did. They will go where you went. And if you're good at it, they'll go where you want. They'll copy you. People are jealous of other people's happiness.
- Are you ready to learn something huge?
Here's the hidden Million Dollar Secret to write the perfect ad - The formula that pulls money out of peoples' pockets faster than you can count it:
feel - felt - discovered
I know how you feel, I felt the same way too and I discovered ... system X or product Y or whatever.
I know how you feel, (remind them how they feel with that particular problem - Talk about the emotional side.)
I felt the same way too. Tell them your past story - when you had that problem - they will start connecting with you - they will feel understood - they will feel empathise with you - they will begin to like you even though they don't know you. - Tell them that you know how they feel, that you have been there
too ! (By the way, don't play with them. Be honest. Talk about a real experience. You can only vibe with emotion and touch people when you really lived what they are living. So talk about your genuine past experiences.)
And I discovered the solution ...(tell them you discovered that there was a solution. Tell them where to get it.)
Write something short - 5 to 20 lines max - You don't need to be a writer. Just write what you think, your personal opinion and/or testimonial.
Okay, now I can move on to the next point.
Testimonials SELL. People will buy what other people have bought. Lubricate that emotion and your sales will go to the roof in no time.
For example, each time you see an ad, a banner, a text link, a link exchange, any form of advertisement on Internet, email them this message:

I have seen your ad and visited your website at www.www-websites.com,
I love your work (Webmasters and site owners work hard, they love to get complimented on their site. - Don't we all?)

the ball always comes back one day or another. What goes round comes around.
(HERE TELL YOUR 5 TO 20 lines STORY. For example:-)
Seeing your ad reminded me how it feels to be continually trying to get visitors to my site.
I felt exactly like that until the day I discovered a seam of gold right under my own feet. Funny thing was - it had been there all the time and I just hadn't seen it.

There are MILLIONS of people with a burning desire to get this cutting edge info ... Tell them what it does for you. How your life has improved, where to get it !... That's it and let my website do the rest! You send the traffic, I'll do the selling - it's a GREAT partnership.
You job is not to advertise my website. Your job is to refer it. The two things are very different.
Never advertise the product. Your only goal is to HELP by simply referring a great thing or a great place you know about. It's so easy. You have been doing this all your life but have never been paid for it. How many times did
you refer something to help somebody? ... Thousands of times ... "Hey, Jim, there's a great new restaurant just opened on Main Street." - "Have you sen that new television program? It's a scream!" - See what I mean?
Here's a statistic that's worth thinking about. A good ad will only get a 1% to 3% response.
A warm recommendation and refferal will pull 30% response.
You can simply say that you recommend it. Or you can write a good recommendation. Write how amazing the website is (because you want people to visit the website). You can say whatever you want as long as it is written with emotion.
But I strongly suggest you don't use the word "ebook".
Talk about benefits (wealth opportunity). Talk about the 'formula' (which it is). You can say how life-changing the revealed secrets have been for you. Again, express what you feel inside. The impact of your discovery. How this affects your life. How promising your future looks now that you have finally found the missing piece of the puzzle. For example, you can say that you are starting to refocus your life, that you are living out your childhood dreams.
If you want to DOUBLE your paychecks, FOLLOW-UP.
All the top Internet marketers agree on this one thing. If you made $500 this week referring my ebook to a list, send a follow-up to the same list and you will almost certainly make AT LEAST another $500 (and probably more).
Send a second follow-up and you will make another $500. In fact, never stop following-up.
The fortune is in the follow-ups... follow-ups.. follow-ups.. follow-ups!
Write a second testimonial, a punch one ! Be very polite, not aggressive. Send several gentle follow-ups to build a great business relationship. Do not always refer something. Like you do with a friend - Do you always suggest a good restaurant or TV program to him?
I suggest you follow-up with this offer at least 7 times with testimonials through the following weeks. Statistically, it shows to pay big money each time. (A 1 to 3 day interval is perfect.)
